Quectel Showcases Latest Products at electronica 2016
Electronica 2016, one of the most important expos in the electronic industry, has just concluded on Friday, November 11, in Munich, Germany, with the NB-IoT (Narrow Band Internet of Things) technology dominating the topics.
The four-day event attracted more than 2,900 exhibitors around the globe, which brought their latest products and technologies on display.
Quectel Wireless Solutions, one of the leading global suppliers of GSM/GPRS, UMTS/HSPA/LTE and GNSS modules, showcased its latest product portfolio at the expo, which included the BC95 module based on NB-IoT technology, the BG96 CAT-M1 based on eMTC, as well as the LTE series of EC21 CAT-1, EC24 CAT-4 and smart SC20.
Quectel CEO Qian Penghe told that these modules can be ideally suitable for any M2M applications from Telematics to smart metering, wireless POS, security, mHealth, networking and other fields.
Senior Vice President Doron Zhang and European Sales VP Dominikus Hierl were also on site to discuss the latest hot topics with visitors.
Statistics show that the market of China’s M2M industry reached 750 billion yuan in the past year, with a CAGR of 25 percent during the 12th Five-year Plan Period (2011-2015). It is predicted that the domestic market is expected to climb to 1.5 trillion yuan by 2018. Moreover, the global M2M market will probably exceed 1 trillion U.S. dollars by 2020.
