Quectel’s NB-IoT Products Highlighted at European Utility Week
The European Utility Week 2016 has just concluded on Friday, November 17 in Barcelona, Spain, with a staggering amount of visitors showing interest in Quectel Wireless Solution’s NB-IoT module.
Quectel Wireless Solutions, one of the leading global suppliers of GSM/GPRS, UMTS/HSPA/LTE and GNSS modules, showcased its broad product portfolio at the three-day expo, which included the BC95 CAT-NB1 based on NB-IoT technology, the BG96 CAT-M1 based on eMTC, as well as the LTE series of EC21 CAT-1 and EC25 CAT-4.
Quectel CEO Patrick Qian said NB-IoT is undoubtedly the hottest topic for the M2M industry at the moment. As NB-IoT boasts the advantages of massive connection, better coverage, long battery life and low cost, it is ideally suitable for application in fields such as smart metering, environmental monitoring, asset tracking and smart agriculture.
Many of the world’s leading meter producers such as Itron, Iskraemeco, Landis+Gyr, and Elster Metering, conducted in-depth communication with Quectel at the expo, and gave positive reviews on Quectel modules.
Quectel’s Senior Vice President Doron Zhang and EMEA Sales VP Dominikus Hierl were also on site to discuss hot topics with visitors.
The annual landmark event of the European energy calendar covers energy fields such as electricity, water and gas, and include topics of smart metering, smart grid, data management, AMR&AMI, telecommunications & IT and energy retail.
